We are delighted to launch the Better Peace Podcast series. A group of young people from Portadown, Donegal and Belfast have been working hard over the past few months to pull together this series which looks back at the achievements of the Good Friday Agreement and forward at the challenges and opportunities ahead.

The UK General Election has been called for Thursday 4th July 2024, and with it comes the first opportunity for thousands of young people across the UK to make their voice heard and use their vote. Whether you are excited to vote for the first time or you are apathetic about the idea, we would like to help give you clear information to help with your decision.

A year to the day after our ‘What Peace Means to Me’ event to mark 25 years since the Good Friday Agreement, Politics in Action hosted another seminal event, focusing on the Role of Westminster in Northern Ireland.

Join our Campaign Group to receive training and support whilst driving the movement for Votes at 16 in Northern Ireland.

Politics in Action welcomes the steps taken to restore our political institutions. It is important for the young people we work with that government here is working and that young people can help shape our shared future.

Thanks to funding from the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust we are recruiting a Campaigns Officer to work with young people in Northern Ireland to ensure they have the same rights as their peers in Scotland and Wales.

Lucy Browne, an 18 year old student who has just finished her A Levels at Portadown College is bound for New Jersey thanks to her selection as a 'Protégé for Peace' alongside Victoria Maguire from Blessed Trinity College in Belfast.

Two of our young activists - Sabrina Baptista from Portadown and Sophia Atkinson from Donegal - have been selected to join the Shared Island Youth Forum. They will be part of a group of 80 young people across the island of Ireland who will meet and work together over the year ahead.
